About Bethany
Hello! I’m so glad to meet you.
I consider myself a writing specialist. I received my undergrad degree in English Literature with a Writing emphasis for the sole purpose of becoming a better writer. I pursued my Masters in English Rhetoric so I could become a better communicator and teacher. I’ve worn a lot of writing hats over the last decade. I’ve written and edited for churches, doctors’ offices, K-12 schools, cosmetology institutes, and universities.
I’ve also done a lot of business and marketing writing. During my time as the Chief Operating Officer for a local private school, I oversaw content as technical as office memos and operations manuals and edited projects as involved as curriculum. I’ve written social media content and blog posts, and designed websites, trifolds, and journals.
My true love is academic writing and editing. I’ve had ample opportunity to hone this skill during my time writing my own master’s thesis, in addition to the many years I assisted students with academic works and graduate applications.
My editing skills aren’t limited to “non-fiction” writing. I have been a managing editor and content editor for two different literary journals and received awards for my own fiction writing at international conventions. I love a good story!
When I’m not helping others to write and design their best, I can be found crafting, gardening, or spending time outside with my husband and son.
